Adriana Hoyos, an internationally renowned Ecuadorian designer, didn’t initially plan to become a furniture manufacturer. Her husband-turned-business partner, Eduardo Perez, suggested this direction in 1994. Today, they oversee two connected entities: Adriana Hoyos Design Studio and Adriana Hoyos Furnishings. They maintain a vertically integrated company with a strong focus on sustainability, including tree farming in Ecuador. Their business not only ensures the quality of their resources but also has a significant social impact, providing jobs to 340 employees. Adriana Hoyos designs furniture that seamlessly complements her interior design projects, which span various settings worldwide, from residences to resorts and even airport renovations. Her work is known for its timeless aesthetic and sculptural quality, and she draws inspiration from her travels and experiences worldwide.

Furthermore, her collections are often themed and take inspiration from sources like the moon’s phases or jewelry cuts. Despite running multiple projects simultaneously, Hoyos acquires new business primarily through word of mouth and has expanded her presence with “shops within shops” in various locations. Her furniture’s adaptability allows it to fit diverse environments, climates, and styles, making Miami the center of their growing global empire.
